Bromley VS Arbour Youth:

Incident - 25/05/2008

Dear Bromley players, fans & others connected to Bromley By Bow FC,

During the above match there have been reports on the incident which took place during this game.  It is natural there will be incidents on the pitch and tempers flaring from time to time but this is no excuse for ANYONE to use violence or retaliate on or off the pitch by players or those on the sidelines - there is no excuse for it full stop.  Officials are present and if players from other teams do anything out of line, then we should rely on the officials to report them and NOT take action ourselves.  For the fact that some of our players & supporters from the sidelines got themselves involved during this incident, we have been fined £100 and further disciplinary action has been taken against the player/s which were involved in the incident itself.

If any player(s) gets involved in fighting or any other incident which results in the club being fined, it will be the responsibility of the player(s) to pay these fines.  The club will NOT pay fines for individuals behaving out of line.  Players & fans alike need to be more responsible and think before they say something to officials or get involved in stupid incidents.  The league will not put up with it and neither should we as a club.  It costs us money which we don't have and not to mention gives us a bad reputation.

Once again I would urge everyone including our loyal fans to please not to get involved in incidents and definateley not to get onto the pitch no matter what.  Any further incidents such as these could & will land the club in further trouble which could include suspension.  The league has always taken serious action against clubs in the past for similar incidents which is deemed a serious misconduct.

Your attention to this matter is appreciated.

Your Help is Needed.. Are you intrested.... ??

Dear All,

We are in the process of restructuring and re-organising our group. As you all know, for the past few years we have been working very hard to help maintain and grow our existing football team both on a financial level to get in the necessary funds and also in terms of organising and promoting our football team. As you all may or may not be aware but the committee have been working very hard on a voluntary basis over the years.

As an organisation, we want to expand and grow and become the main focal point of everything that happens in our local community. Football is an important tool we have but we want to start organising other activities which are not necessarily focused on football.

This is where we are asking local residents to get involved with the organisation and are looking for committed individuals who are willing to give time and effort in helping us move forward. We are looking for young people who will help organise other activities, be involved in planning future projects that we can then provide everyone. Although we have done this for many years, we realise the importance of bringing more people on board to help us and we can only progress further with your help, dedication and commitment.

Please register your interest with Somsul on 07983 559541 or drop us an Email on bbbco@hotmail.co.uk and we can organise a meeting to discuss in more details. If you are committed to helping your local community, and are willing to put in some time and effort for the cause, then we want to hear from you.

Final ILFL Game Scores...March 2008

Bromley FC lose to Mohammadan Sporting as Bromley gave away 2 penalties and conceded another 2 goals losing 4-2. Goals from Ifte' and Mukthar were a mere consolation. Bromley now prepare for the Safer Neighbourhood Tournament which will be in preparation for the Summer BFA League.

Bromley B saw a last minute strike from Mr Kay Chowdary as he scored the final goal of the season as they lose 2-1 to Newark Youth FC. The manager commented:

"We didn't really play until the last 12 to 15 minutes, It was a bad result but to be fair, one team wanted to win and the other just didn't want to lose.

We need to be more positive, because otherwise in the end you end up chasing games. We have to recreate a mirror image of the last 12 minutes here.

Most of the time our passing was not crisp enough and we didn't get people up quick enough to support the front two. We've got to improve in our game and there will be changes made in the BFA Summer League." he added.

WINTER LEAGUE TABLES - 2007/08 - ILFL

East-7 FC draw with Bromley..17/02/08

with both goals from a penalty. An earlier opportunity from the spot was missed as it went over the bar. Bromley played an excellent game creating many chances. but was unable to grab the 3 points from league leaders E7 FC. Penalty scored by Imran as E7 equalise. Watch both goals below...submitted by a local reporter @ the scene !!

Bromley B - "Get Hit for 6"

This was an exhilarating encounter: Bromley B lacked the powerful, coherent and swiftness in their attacking that they showed in previous matches. Elite FC were precise on the counter and real contenders in the game. The defence were ragged at times and did not shut the opponents down.

Manager Nagim commented 'We have concentrated on attacking football, on how to move right, on how to behave right, how to get the best from the players and how to make them better. That's all I want from them, but I think it's more important that they ask it from themselves.' Final Score 6 - 0 to Elite FC.

Bromley By Bow FC Players Iftekhar & Oli along with BFA have been invited onto the I Ronnie Programme on Channel S (Sky channel 814).  Which will be aired on Monday 25th Feb @ 8.30pm to discuss Asian Football in the UK and other topics.

Bromley B Bounce back up...10/02/08

to beat Poplar FC after their defeat a fortnight ago. Subhan rounded off a solo run to beat the poplar keeper in the first half. The 2nd half saw a good defensive play with debut player Mehej. Also Shipon was holding up the midfield. Bromley B player Oli' then topped up another cool finish to make it two. Poplar got one back before the final whistle through an unjust penalty said Parves Hussain. Final Score 2-1 to Bromley B.

Westferry rock Bromley FC..

to a draw. Bahar Ali fired home the opener in the first half, but this was short lived as Helal scored a demoralising own goal that saw them level. The second half was all to play for as they went 2 -1 down with a defensive mix up, but a cool strike from Oliur Rahman made it 2-2. Final Score 2-2.

Clichy Clinches Points...03/02/08

as Bromley FC lose 2-1 to Clichy FC. A Oliur Rahman equaliser could not stop Clichy from taking all the points. A wonderful strike from Clichy beat Amin (GK) as he was left eating dirt.

The anguished manager facing a nearly impossible task of winning the ILFL League did not comment on the game. All eyes are on the Thursday training session @ Marner for feedback on the game. Final Score: 2 -1 to Clichy FC.

Bromley B did not have a game this weekend and an extra training session was in place.

Bromley face's cup exit..27/01/08

against Stepney FC. A 2-2 draw after full time in the ILFL Cup Quater Final saw a penalty shootout that put Bromley's cup hope over the bar. A great goal from Abdul from outside the box and a tap in from Ifte' brought Bromley on level terms twice, but Stepney held their nerve as they go through to the Semi's. Final Score 2-2, Lost 3-0 on penalties. Also a well done to....Oliur Rahman with semi pro team Sporting Bengal FC with his first team starts and one man striking role, he makes strides with his ability & attitude that has seen Sporting win 3 games in a trot !! Keep your fitness up though.

Bromley B get Aced*...

A five - nil defeat from Ace FC left the team still hopeful in banking in the points in the remaining 4 games to secure a top spot. Defensive errors (No finger pointing, but it was jumping Babz) in the first half gave away the goals, but a better second half kept the team on their toes.

Frontline draw for Bromley...20/01/08

A Last Min goal by Dipon salvaged a point for Bromley as Oliur fired in the first goal against Shadwell FC. A mixed performance that saw them lose last week (13/01/08) against BYM Sports Academy 4 - 2 meant that a better performance was needed this week. Manager Shofique will need to chalk up his tactics if he is to make a stance for top spot. As it stands in the table, Bromley need to win the remaining of the games in the ILFL League to compete

Bromley B burn FC Burner...

on 13th January 2008 in a convincing display of football as they win 2 -1. Goals from A.Hamid and a cracker from Saiful Alom (35 Yarder) gave them 3 points and a leap into the top half of the table. Manager Nagim (..the man with the plan) commented that he was pleased with the solid performance as it built character in the team. Man of the Moment..Keeper: Ingle.

20/01/08 - The team played in similar style and composure for only 70 mins as the came back from being 3-1 down to 3-3 in the second half. Goals from Subhan. Hamid and Shakil did not help as they lost the game in the remaining 20 mins against Beumont FC. Final Score 9 - 3. Also a warm welcome to additions in the Bromley B squad...Oliver, Rolando - Man of the Match, Johnathan, Saiful and Gemmard.

Bromley B hammered but not really...06/01/08

by West Ham Sporting Club. A goal by West Ham in the final period of play gave both teams a point each. Two suberb goals by Subhan gave Bromley B the lead as West Ham crawled back into the game. Mamun had a chance to win it in the last minute, but his header went to Pitch No. 7, while Keeper Ingle had a fantastic game making some outstanding saves and keeping Bromley B in great form. Final Score 2 -2.

Penalty Secures Bromley Win...06/01/08

against Abohani. A last minute penalty scored by Imran gave Bromley FC 3 points after suffering many frustrating draws in the ILFL League. Bahar secured the first goal with a fiery shot as Abohani balanced the scoreline with an equaliser. Oliur Rahman got tripped in the box which gave Bromley the win. Final Score 2 - 1 to Bromley. Previous Match Bromley 2 - 2 against SYA (23/12/07).

Bromley B Back 2 Business...16/12/07

A well deserved win see's Bromley B win 3-0 against Newark Youth London. 3 well taken goals from outside the box puts the Youth Team back into the driving seat. Nagim was happy with his 1st win as Manager and commented that the team could have scored many goals but player A.Hamid had left his shooting boots at home as he missed many chances. Final Score: 3 - 0 to Bromley B.

Sporting Score draw for Bromley FC..

A 1-1 draw against Mohammeden Sporting Club for Bromley FC as they score 1 goal out of a dozen chances. Final Score 1-1.

No New News as Bromley B Lose...

against Elite Youth, goals from Ex-Bromley Players Mashook and Atikul see's a high spirited Bromley B searching for a winning formula that brings them into form. Last week's game against Poplar saw them get 3 points as Poplar failed to turn up. Hopefully the Coach/Manager Nagim can bring them back to there winning ways.

Bromley FC make it a Draw -11/11/07

as an own goal from Helal saw them lose 2 points against Clichy FC but they still remain unbeaten. Oliur made a quick recovery from his injury last week and scored a fantastic goal from inside the box that crept in off the post. Mukthar was also on firing form as he scored the 2nd goal.

Amin (GK) was unluckly to concede the first as the defenders were slow to clear the ball after Amin made a few saves and Clichy got a goal. Final Score 2 -2.

New Management... New Era. . .

as Nagim Ali is bought in to provide Bromley B with on-site coaching as terms are still undisclosed. They played a fantastic game with skill, game plan and motivation against Bethnal Green, some say "it was the best football game they played and seen" - (Shamsul Haque) As they went 1-0 (Hamid, 65 Min) up before Bethnal found the net luckly 3 times in the last 15 minutes of the game. Many hero's of the day including Ingle (GK) who's always In Goal as he made top saves. They lose 3-1.

Bromley FC raise a point...04/11/07

as they draw against Shadwell FC. A goal by Oliur Rahman from inside the box was the only conversion of many chances that they had. Oli is now injured with a shoulder injury and is likely to return early Dec. Questions were raised at Amin Ali (GK) as he conceded his 2nd goal this season, as he normally keeps a clean sheet. The Manager said after the game that his rotation policy did not pay off and he will only use players that deliver a consistent performance.

Bromley B limp off to an unfortunate loss..

against Beaumont FC, who turned up with a full 22 Man Squad against a strong Bromley B side. Another outstanding performance from Bromley still could not find them a win or the net as Beaumont netted from the only 2 chances they had from set pieces. Injuries to the team see's another 2 players out for a few weeks as they lose 2-0.

The team still remain in fighting spirit with a Tottenham Style shuffle in management and a coupon cut out pay off pending. So watch this space in who's looking to get the team in firing form.

against Shoreditch FC in the ILFL League Cup. A hattrick from Imran Ali (Aka Mini) and goals from Oli, Bahar and others secure Bromley's place in the next round as they win 7 - 1. In the first half Division 1 Side Shoreditch equalised from a 30 yard stunner that Amin (GK) palmed into the back of the net. Ifte also missed a penalty but they bounced back in the 2nd half with 5 well taken goals. A great performance by Imran as he lead the team to victory.

Bromley B - see's cup exit...

as Newark FC win 5-2. Hamid's spectacular strikes could not save the team from defeat. The teams training ground tactics did not pay off but they remain focus and on cue for the league games. The Management are under alot of pressure but remain positive.

13 Goal thriller @ Vicky Park...09/09/07

as both teams played in this weekends ILFA League - side by side. Bromley FC saw a well deserved 4 - 0 win over Abohani Youth. Goals came from Bahar, Mukthar, Imran and Pojji. Bromley FC had an amazing 70% ball possession over Abohani FC and should of converted some chances into goals as the woodwork saved the other team from a shower of goals. An excellent team selection by Manager Shoffique saw an exciting game even though some players were called to the National Asian Cup for Sporting Bengal FC in Glasgow. An onlooker also commented that "Sunday Mornings are never the same when your watching Bromley FC." Bromley FC were proud of there performance as was Bromley B who undeservedly lost 7-2 with West Ham Youth FC as many players suffered from injury. A.Hamid managed to capture 1 goal with kashim netting another as Bromley B look to analyse this unfortunate loss before there next game.

Hamid was star man with many others players as he was constantly threading the ball through to create many chances. Abdul Hasnath (New Manager) was so proud of the team that he will handwash the Kits for the next game !

Bromley take on the UK Championship 2007 by Storm.. -26/08/07

As the 2007 UK Bangladeshi Championship went underway @ Milton Keynes, teams from all over the United Kingdom crossed many county borders to join the prestigious Bangladeshi Championship. Birmingham, Luton and Milton Keynes were a few to name as Bromley FC represented London alondside Mohammeden who were defending the championship title.

The group stages went of to a flying start as Bromley won the first 2 games, with fantastic strikes from Abdul & Abu (ex-shadwell players). Oli also scored a goal ending his season long drought at top flight football. Games against Mohammeden and Luton then went goalless as cramp and fatigue started creeping in on players. Manager Shoffique made a few changes that gave him goals and points in his tracksuit pocket against Milton Keynes. Bromley went unbeaten and topped the group stages to play the current holders Mohammeden in the Finals.

The final game saw supporters of Bromley break speed limits from London's EastEnd to spectate and support the team in MK. The game was very tight as both teams weren't letting any chances go easy. Bahar got a few shots in, but they were miles off. As Dipon who was a late edition to the team made some strong challenges to keep Bromley in the game. Ifte' was in the middle linking up play with Abdul (Shadwell Rep), who was driving down players with his fierce runs. It was him that scored the winner in the 3rd quater of the first half with a spectacularly angled, curling and powerful strike from a free kick, which saw the ball scorching into the top corner. Amin made some game winning saves in the second half to give Bromley the titile and Amin the Man of the Match Award. This outstanding win surely puts Bromley-by-Bow/Bromley FC on the UK map. Flash Kodak Moment of the Supporters & Bromley FC players with the magnificent trophy in MK - 26/08/07- Champions of the UK Bangladeshi Tournament

Rare Statement by Vice Chairman...

First of all, I would like to say how proud I am of the team having won the UK Championship. To emphasise the fact that we are now officially the Best Bengali Football Team in the UK, it is something I am absolutely delighted about. All credit to the squad that participated and the manager Shofiqul to have achieved such an unbelievable sporting excellence. This has been the most successful year for the club in terms of achievement. Of course the remarkable achievements on the field are a bonus but as I always say, ultimately it is the hard work that goes on behind the scenes regardless of the results on the pitch that I am proud of.

Naz Hussain - BBBCO Vice Chairman

Naz Hussain - Vice Chairman

We have worked tireless to contribute towards getting young people off the streets and participate in activities which have seen the youth of the local and surrounding areas unite. To reduce incidents in the area and make Bromley-by-Bow a safer place to live and work in, and most important of all, tackle the bigger issues that we have always tried to address as part of our main aims and objectives which I feel we have done successfully over the years and which I feel is improving every year.

Behind the scenes, we have a very dedicated team who all put in a lot of efforts and hard work on a voluntary basis. The following people deserve a special mention because without their contribution, there would be no organisation. Chairman Shamim Miah, Treasurer Khalid Hussain, Secretary Somsul Hoque, Executive members Abul Hasnath & Iftekhar Ahmed. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank all the other members of the organisation that help the committee, especially Akbor who’s eagerness and willingness to help out is recognised and very much appreciated.

Lastly, a special mention for the supporters that are unarguably the best set of supporters around who travel all around the country to follow their local team. It goes to show what an impact the organisation has in the community, especially amongst the youth. I would like to say to the players as well as supporters to always remember that no matter where you are, whether you are on the pitch or not, you are representing the organisation. Your behaviour has been exceptional and I urge everyone to keep it up. The continuous support goes a long way towards encouraging everyone involved to continue working hard. - Statement by Naz Hussain (Vice Chairman), 28 August 2007.

Match Report Taken from APSA

After a not so riveting 0-0 draw at Bengals, APSA played host to Bengals at the Mill Hill Stadium. Newham council failed to make Terence Mcmillan available for APSA for another year. This time due to Athletics taking priority.

With a lot of frustration from the previous game, both teams needed to see goals and preferably to their own credit. Within 7 minutes Bengals Prince did just that as he let loose a thunderous shot into the top corner from outside the box. Keeper Ricardo Khan, couldn’t really make a save as the unbelievable strike found it’s mark.

APSA who had the better of the first game were quick to charge up the other end and make amends. The first of four chances fell to Dakri who struck wide, as did Theodore 3 minutes later. APSA fans could only think it was not to be there night.

Begals keeper Rogers was in fine form as he saved from a Dakri strike and a Theodore top corner placement 10 minutes later. With 13 minutes of the half remaining, he tee’d up Theodore  who made no mistake as he slotted the ball in the net. APSA were back in the game, and on the offensive.

On 36 minutes Gallimore sailed a beautiful pass into the path of Gibson, who rounded two before sweetly slotting into the bottom corner.

APSA came out firing all cylinders in the 2nd half and on 52 mins, Dar was hacked in the penalty area, which left the referee no choice but to award the spot kick. Cool Karl Conway was true to the mark and made no mistake.

3-1 to APSA and the game looked like it would be wrapped up now. But rivalry between these two clubs is pretty fierce and neither side wanted to lose. The home grown Bengals player Mintu and Miah upped the Anti, driving forward and making tackle after tackle to stem the APSA throughput. Mintu’s long clearance found Hughes, who put intot he danger area, some poor APSA defending and an easy tap in for Terry. 3-2 APSA and now the impotus was back with Bengals as their belief grew to new heights.

APSA were not to be taken lightly and Nicholas, powered through the Midfield with Calloway to present Theodore with yet another chance. When called Theodore made history and scored for the 2nd time on the night giving APSA a 4-1 lead with only 20 minutes to go. Oli was missing from the Bengal lineup and he didn't get on as he could of made a difference.

Gibson and the two Hussains, were giving no quarter at the back, and ensuring no silly mistakes were made. Unfortunately for them the resourceful Prince was once again on hand to bring Bengals back into the game. With 7 minutes to play he latched onto a long cross from Stewart and looped his header into the top corner.

APSA open the back foot now and fighting for the result. Struggling to keep the ball in the Bengals half. Bengals piled on the pressure, sending long balls intot he box and making a scrap of every opportunity. 19 year old keeper Ricardo Khan, played the game of his life, making two match winning saves for APSA.

The final whistle went and a jubilant APSA celebrated being the first Asian Club to qualify for the Prelimanary Round. APSA take on Tiptree FC in Tiptree on Saturday 1st September 3pm kick off.

A 0-0 Draw will see a traditional FA Cup Replay as the first Asian team has not yet gone into the next round. On Sunday 19th August hundreds of fans turned up at Mile End Stadium to watch Sporting Bengal take on London Apsa in the FA cup.  This fixture had a lot of publicity over the past few weeks and therefore many national & local media including the BBC were also present with their cameras.  The game was exaclty as many predicted, very tight and hard fought .  Although there wasn't many clear cut chances for either teams both sides did miss chances to win the match.  After battling hard players from both sides looked tired in extra time but neither were giving anything away.  A draw was a fair result and now we await the replay.

Summer Player of the Year 2007 goes to....

Amin Ali, the votes were counted in all night for the Bromley FC, Summer Player of the Year 2007. This Years contestants saw themselves doing door-to-door canvassing of all internet cafes to get votes & some saw Oli handing out leaflets in Oxford Circus!! The final stretch of the voting saw Oliur Rahman and Amin Ali battle it out for the award. Poggi (Imran) also saw an early lead as the voting commenced, but he is still tipped to recieve an award for his outstanding display throughout the season. Amin Ali will recieve the award for the supporters summer player soon, as commiserations goes out to Oli & the other players that were up for vote. (...and were not saying that you weren't good enough, it's an achievement to get shortlisted !) Amin - 36%, Oli - 32%, Poggi - 16%, Imran (Mini) - 8%, Mukthar - 5%, Abdul - 2%, Bahar - 0.1%.

Supporters' Player of the Summer for Bromley B goes to....

Shakir - as he got 42% of the votes. Hamid came way behind with 36% of the total votes. Shakir saw through all the summer games with a consistant performance. A massive well done to all the other players that were up for vote as they all deserve an award for there commitment.

Slow & Slick Utd "out-style" Bromley FC in Tournament...

Winners & Runners-up together !! - August 2007

Slow & Slick FC show off there trophies- Aug 2007

They win with a revamped side that saw them knocked out in the Quater Final's in the previous week's tournament. As the rain closed in on the All Bromley-by-Bow final game of the competition, they slid and slided to a 2-0 win, with Ikbal scoring a fine toe punt pass the Man of the Tournament Muhith (Bromley Keeper) from inside the area. As Bromley FC were sticking to there positions, they were stuck. As in the second half, Shakir saw a wonderful shot rebound of as an own goal by a Bromley player, who cannot be named for legal reasons (IT WAS AKBOR ISLAM). Bromley made some last minute subs, but they still could not break the strong defence of S&S UTD as they went on to win the tournament, Mamun from Bromley suffered a painful injury to his toe after punting the ball over the fence. He was admitted to A&E but was later released with a strained foot (They had to cut his nail, to fit his foot into X-Ray Machine ! Urgh !). Get well Soon !

Old Ford FC entered again and lost to Slow & Slick Utd in the Semi's, but there striker Danny took the Top Goalscorer Award. The group stages saw many teams, but one team that entered PHAT United, was created by individuals that normally hang about in communal areas in blocks and round tables in Perfect Fried Chickens. They twisted and turned many players but missed out on a Quater Final place by a point. The team still owes the organiser the entry fee, but they were nowhere to be seen after the group stages. A special thanks to Sol Miah, Reja, Saleh, Rubel, Salam, Sule, A.Muhith, Kayum & his crew for participating. Also a thanks from the organiser Amin, to all the other 16 teams that entered

Bromley on TV

The 2nd tournament of this summer in Bromley saw masses of people. Some were there for the football and the rest to get on TV !! Channel 4's production company, Chew on it production filmed certain aspects of the tournament and interviewed many youths for there opinion on the new law that the government will put in place. This law will mean that parents picking up their children from the school grounds or a place where there's other children, they will need to have a Criminal Records Check. This will be on Channel 4 later the year.

Khalid Hussain makes official statement: - 12/08/07

I will be resigning from managing the Bromley B team after this year’s Summer League due to other commitments. I have been involved in Football and later managing the B team for almost 10 years.

I have thoroughly Enjoyed it and have gained valuable life experience. I would recommend this to anyone, as managing people of all skills & abilities is a big challenge and can develop a person further.

I will be taking a back seat from managing for a while. Who knows, maybe after couple of year’s, I’ll try to setup an Under-16 team or even manage Barca.

The B team has achieved a lot in a very short time by going to the semi final against Mohammedan, as well as being promoted to 2nd division in the BFA summer league. 6 players were also selected to play for Bromley A who went on to take that team further and won the league as well as the Cup.

A massive thank you goes to ALL the players, supporters and the board for their support, especially Shamim (Dee) our chair, who made it possible for Bromley B to make it to the winter league.

Can I take this opportunity to thank Abdul Hasnath, Abdul Hamid and Akbor Islam for taking on the management role from now on and wish them well in their new position.

The website is also looking good with lots of activity, thanks to Abul Salam.

Former Bromley B Manager, August 2007

Bromley B Stalls with Valance Youth

Khalid Bhai's last game saw a 1-1 draw against Valance, as Deedar opened the game with a fine lob as chances were very tight in the first half, but Vallance saw a fine header drift into the Bromley net. The early second half subs could not break the deadlock as Mamun, Micheal and Ansar settled into a kick and hope Vallance game. As Bromley B miss promotion by a few points in Division 2 Summer league, it's all to play for in the ILFA Winter League which commences in a few weeks under new management.

E3 United's Reign Comes to an End...

As Amin Ali could not save the current holders of the Footy on the Pitch Tournament held on 11 August. After a massive turnout to the tournament, 12 teams battled it out for the title. Teams included the Slow & Slick FC which saw themselves out in the QF, as the keeper was too slow in the penalty shootout and Abdul Hamid was too slick to get his trainers dirty to score. Bow FC was another team that didn't see pass the group stages as the lunch break had its toll on the team, because of the stalls that were setup selling Biriani and foriegn Capri-Sun drinks at over inflated prices. (Free Drinks were also provided)

Marner School Footy Tournament

The Final saw E3 United play against the mighty Old Ford FC. E3 United saw several attempts saved by the ungloved keeper of Old Ford, who were unbeatable and in great motion. They netted in the first half from a through ball that left Babz (Riaz) doing the banana split as Micheal (Old Ford FC) slotted the ball pass a theatrical dive by Amin Ali. (even though there were no camera's rolling)

The second half saw more chances by Bez (Bahar - E3 United) hit the roads of Devas Street as the spectators jeered and took cover behind fences (see picture below). Old Ford capitilised on E3's frustration by another slick goal that saw the keeper rooted to the cement pitch. Old Ford FC then went on to lift the title of the Tournament. The organiser of the tournament, Suleman Hussain and Oliur Rahman would like to say a thank you to all the teams from the different areas & boroughs that participated and how successful the event was in engaging the community.

If this wasn't enough and due to high demand there is going to be another Bromley Tournament on 18th August @ Marner School, Entry Fee £18, 7-A-Side, Contact Amin on 07904955322 to Register, See u there @ 10am Sharp !! - Great Trophies up for grabs !!

After Managing and projecting Bromley's Finest, Young & Talented Players in the Bromley Youth Team, Manager Khaled who has an eye for talent & success will step down from his position after the BFA Summer League 2007, due to extra family responsibilties & commitments. He has passed on the position to a former Senior Player, Abul Hasnath (Abdul) who has years of playing experience & a great list of achievements, and he still awaits a MBE from the queen. He will be assisted by the glamourous A.Hamid, who appears in the Star Profile below, looking sharp and always taking pictures of himself. Good luck to them both !. Akbor Islam is also among the ranks with the backroom staff. - (Remember to bring the cold drinks !)

And to the main point again, Everyone would like to wish Khaled Bhai & his family all the best and a thank you for all the support and voluntarary commitment he has giving to the team & club. His son Hamza is already keen on the game. His commitment does no finish there as he still will be dedicating some of his spare time voluntarary working for the Bromley-By-Bow Community. He will make a formal statement this week.

Meanwhile his team Bromley B warmed up again & collected a "whopping" 3 points from Wapping who failed to turn up with 11 players. BFA will need to action strict rules & fines for teams that fail to appear as they are watching the Omnibus of Eastenders on a Sunday, they need to watch it during the week !!. The team stay optimistic for a top 3 finish in Division 2.

Fantastic - 29/07

Bromley's final game of the season saw a Bromley team battle it out for a runner's up place as Stepney FC lifted the BFA Summer League Title in the morning fixtures. Bromley FC had 19 commited players turn up to the last game. The game ended in a 1 - 1 draw against Vallance as Mukthar Ali scored a decisive goal which, may or may not see Bromley Awarded the runners up position, as the BFA are yet to decide deduction of points from the teams that played against a rule breaking side Beaumont.

The team played a thrilling game against the strong Vallance side who are fighting relagation. Manager Shoffique is already drawing up plans for a Winter ILFA League team shake-up as he looks to make additions to his squad. Also out of position player Oliur played in a promising central midfield role.

While Bromley B warmed up to easy 3 points as Newham failed to turn-up. They play Wapping next on 5th August.

Also Dipon Ali has made a commitment to Bromley B for the ILFA Winter League as he returns from Soul FC, he regrets that he had left the Bromley Youth Team and apologises to the team, manager, local community and supporters.

Bromley's Best Season 06/07

2006/2007 season has been a very successful season for Bromley By Bow FC in the ILFL, having won the premier division for the first time in our history and also reaching the cup final to give us a chance for the double is beyond anyone's imagination. The players and the management have done a tremendous job in keeping up the pressure on the top sides this year and in the end had the quality and belief to go all the way. The final game of the season against Mohammedan decided the championship, it was a winner takes all game. The pressure was very much on both the sides especially with the controversy surrounding this particular fixture. The Bromley By Bow players rose to the occasion and won the match comfortably.

Reaching this years cup final was no easy task either, we had to overcome Westferry in the first round and then Clichy & Shadwell along the way. This is the first time Bromley By Bow has reached a cup final and some of our players today will be playing at Mile End Stadium for the first time, this should be a great experience for them especially the younger players.

We introduced some of our younger players from our 'B' team to the first team this year and they have proved their worth with an amazing contribution and commitment throughout the season. The new players who were introduced to the team this year have also been outstanding and gelled in with the rest very well. The team spirit has never been better and we hope this would give us the edge against a very good Stepney team.

We have many supporters who follow the team week in week out whatever the weather, they are very passionate & loyal and we would like to take this opportunity to thank them and everyone else who work very hard behind the scenes for their continued support. Finally we hope everyone enjoys the match and urge the Bromley supporters to get behind the team as much as possible.

Best Wishes, Shamim Miah Chairman - Bromley By Bow FC
